See What Your Changes Reach

Source

Ripple is a Claude Code mod, open source under Apache-2.0. Get it on GitHub.

Overview

What does Ripple do?

A diff shows what you changed and nothing of what it reaches. Rename a struct, add a parameter, or loosen a check, and code in files you never opened breaks, or quietly starts doing something else.

This is especially problematic when you use AI to modify code and want to understand the full scope of what's been affected.

Ripple maps that code. Run /ripple and a background agent traces what depends on your changes, then draws the map inside Claude Code: what changed, what uses it, and which of those the change breaks.

Install

How do I try Ripple?

At the prompt of a Claude Code session, install it:

/plugin install ripple --marketplace nsodhi-cmu/claude-code-ripple

Then change something, or ask Claude to, and run:

/ripple

Mods are new, so an older Claude Code may not load it. See the README for more.
